1. Who We Are

ToughCall is developed by Andrey Gerasimov, an independent developer. This privacy policy explains how the app handles your data. We are committed to protecting your privacy by design: the app is built so that your personal information stays entirely on your device.

2. What We Collect

ToughCall accesses the following capabilities on your device, only when you explicitly grant permission:

• Microphone audio — Used for voice input. Audio is transcribed on-device using the WhisperKit speech recognition engine. Audio data is processed in real time and is not recorded or stored.
• Face ID / Touch ID — Used for optional app lock via the iOS LocalAuthentication framework. Biometric data is managed entirely by the operating system and is never accessible to the app.

ToughCall does not collect your name, email address, location, contacts, photos, browsing history, or any other personal information.

3. How We Use Your Data

All data processing happens locally on your device:

• AI inference — The app runs a large language model directly on your device to help you think through decisions. No queries or responses are sent to any server.
• Speech-to-text — Voice input is converted to text on-device. No audio is transmitted anywhere.
• Decision history — Your past decisions and conversations are stored locally in an encrypted database on your device.

4. Data Storage and Security

All decision data, conversation history, and analysis results are stored on your device using AES-256-GCM encryption. This is the same encryption standard used by governments and financial institutions worldwide.

There is no cloud backup, no server-side storage, and no remote database. Your data exists only on your device.

To delete all your data, simply delete the ToughCall app from your device. All associated data will be removed.

5. AI Model Download

On first launch, ToughCall downloads AI model weights from HuggingFace over a secure HTTPS connection. These are non-executable data files (numerical parameters) required for the on-device AI engine. This is the only network request the app makes, and no personal data is transmitted during this download.

6. Third-Party Services

ToughCall does not use any third-party services, including:

• No analytics or crash reporting services
• No advertising networks
• No cloud-based AI APIs
• No social media integrations
• No cookies or tracking technologies

There are no user accounts, no login, and no way for us to identify you.

7. Children's Privacy

ToughCall is not directed at children under the age of 13. Since the app does not collect any personal data and does not transmit information to any server, it does not knowingly collect data from children. If you are a parent or guardian with concerns, please contact us.

8. Your Rights

Because all data is stored exclusively on your device and we have no access to it, you have full control at all times:

• You can view your data within the app
• You can delete individual decisions from within the app
• You can delete all data by uninstalling the app
• You can revoke microphone or Face ID permissions at any time via iOS Settings

We cannot access, retrieve, or restore your data because it never leaves your device.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated effective date. Since ToughCall does not collect contact information, we encourage you to review this policy periodically.
